On March 17, 1917, five women at New York University Law School took a pledge of sisterhood and loyalty and so founded the Alpha Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon, the only social sorority founded at a professional school.
Our Founders selected the motto Esse Quam Videri- to be, rather than to seem to be- because they believed above all, our sisters should remain true to who they are.
The Phi Phi Chapter Delta Phi Epsilon at Towson University originally began in September 8, 1984, but was most recently recolonized in the Spring of 2016.
Delta Phi Epsilon women are diverse, accomplished, dedicated, loving, and driven. Our sisters are involved in a variety of ways both on campus and beyond. Our sisters are leaders in our chapter as well as in the Student Government Association, Campus Activities Board, Sexual Assault Peer Educators, Student Ambassadors, and the University Residence Government among others. You will find Delta Phi Epsilon sisters in the nursing unit, the library, and the courthouse.
No matter where our lives may take us, we always make time to support each other. This may mean attending a sisters play or cheering from the sidelines, we will always be each other’s biggest fan and supporter. No matter who you are or what your passions are, Delta Phi Epsilon can be your home while you are at Towson and wherever life will take you.
