DPhiE Philanthropies

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was founded in 1955. A few short years later in 1958, the CF Foundation became Delta Phi Epsilon's official philanthropy.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a rare genetic lung disease, which affects the pancreas and other organs. An excessive amount of mucus is produced

and fills one's lungs, making it very difficult to breathe.

At this point in time, there is no cure for CF.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Tr

Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation

Together, Delta Phi Epsilon chapters have raised over $1 million dollars towards research and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the hopes of finding a cure.

Each year, our chapter hosts a CF Gala to raise money and to educate people on this very rare disease. Our first and successful CF Gala was hosted in December 2016, which raised $8,500. Our girls participate in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides Walk as a team (pictured on right). With each coming year, the Phi Phi chapter at Towson University is committed to bringing awareness to CF, while helping to fund research on this disease which affects over 30,000 people in the United States.

In 1985, Delta Phi Epsilon fully committed to supporting the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD). The ANAD organization helps those struggling with eating disorders and poor body image.

This philanthropy accurately represents DPhiE's mission to support people's individuality for who they are, rather than what they look like.

As the newest chapter on Towson's campus, our chapter will be hosting our first ever ANAD Week in March 2017. This week will include a field day event, empowerment workshop, lip sync battle, and Deepher Dude. The goal of each event is to raise money for ANAD to help those battling eating disorders.

Delta Phi Epsilon raises money to provide grants and scholarships to undergraduate and graduate members in order to support them in their pursuit of higher education.

During Spring 2016, when Towson DPhiE was still only a colony, every new member of Phi Phi went "All In" by donating $25 or more to the cause! Towson DPhiE recently went "all in" again during Spring 2017.
